Well guys,I shot over a good 8pt. down by the creek tonight.Better a clean miss than a bad hit, right?Didn't seem to bother him too much as he went back to nosing through the leaves for acorns again.Hoping to get another crack at him and make this thing right.

Jeff, you used up your big buck Quota. Tell Tyler to stop chasing girls, then get down there and kill that deer.

Bummer about the shot but you are right, you could have been tracking a deer for 2 days.

Charlie, you might be right about the "Quota" thing...or maybe I just made a crummy shot.Since the boy got a license and wheels he hasn't been in the woods much. When do you think you and the guys might be heading down this way?

Hey Guys. This is a little off topic, but what Trad shoots/shows are there in NY?
I haven't lived there since 1998 and am out of the loop.
Is there a State Traditional Archery Association?
I want to go to some trad shoots next year in the NE.
Thanks in advance.

Now that is quite the "group"!!!!

Glad you all had a good time.  Can't wait until I get to spend some quality time with this fine group.

I'm sure you all gained a little in weight after eating Nate's cooking!!!

Jim - I'll send you a PM.  Lots of shoots in this region in the summer.

Just came back from my evening hunt, was hunting my groundblind in the apple orchard behind the house.Got in my blind at 4.30,nothing moving just some gray squirrels running back and forth getting apples. Then I heard a real commotion about 40yrds to my left.thought it was squirrels making a racket a bunch of them in one tree.It turned out to be a bear.Never seen anything like it before. He was getting apples. He finally climbed down then right back up another.Watched him from my blind for a good 1/2 hour. Finally he climbed down again and off he went.I knew he was around by all the sign he leaves. Not many apples this year and he has them all skarfed up.He is a young bear it was a great time out just to see the show.

I see that the picture is taken from a low angle. I was curious and was wondering if Mike(Mcgroundstalker) took the picture or in fact was there   :bigsmyl:
