Sightings this year seem to be a bit off for me. I spend considerable time hunting the woods that are a hop over a stone wall from my home. About 60 acres or so of mixed terrain bordered by power lines and the Thruway. There are other hunters that use the property but I am lucky to be able to hunt from home. I am somewhat perplexed as to where the does have gone. Sightings of antlered deer far outweigh does. Just gotta keep at it.

Glen, as I recall sightings were down last year also.

Good luck, you have a great place there.

Charlie, looking forward to the rest.

I heard through the vine blood was spilled in Western NY.

Wow Ron...same thing happened to me..lol...it was a little basket racked 6pt..I tracked his approach from my blind, he passes into some brush...I stand and get ready to draw...soon as he pops out from behind that oak I've got my chance...He never came out..lol..I lean to my left to look around the oak only to see the twitch of his tail as he walks away after making a hard right turn while he was screened by the oak...
