Nightmare on Elk Street (my new knife and sheath combo)
« on: August 15, 2012, 02:57:00 PM »
Well I think this is a fitting name for my new combo! For I hope in the middle of September when the bulls reek of urine and are screaming their heads off. The big bull is thinking of nothing but chasing the lovely ladies around the block. The mornings are crisp with not too much to worry about. An unknown drifter slips in undetected and makes a sound so sweet that the big bull comes in for a look see. He detects something is out of place he is not sure what it is? But it’s too late! Something cut through him and in flash he is off. But he does not make it very far and collapses and rolls downhill wedging against a tall pine tree. Then the Freddie Kruger to the elk emerges and effortlessly pulls a hand forged knife form his solid cross draw sheath. He has a big job ahead but the knife never dulls and with each slice the once 900lb beast is now ready to board his trusty horse Biscuit for the ride back to camp.

This folks will hopefully be the next chapter of the Nightmare on Elk Street! Enjoy the pictures of my new combo that will be in some of the most remote areas in the lower 48. The knife is made by my good friend Karl Andersen a Brute De Forge. Karl forged this knife while I was at his house this summer and later gave it to me as a gift with bocote scales attached and finished out just beautifully. This thing is scary sharp! I cannot wait to put it to the test. I am sure this wonderful creation will bring me good luck for many years. Thanks Karl!

You were startin to scare me a little Scott.  :scared:

That outfit will no doubt be up to any task you might ask of it. Great work on both sides.

Hi Freddy,

uh, I mean Scott, there is something wrong with that combo.... I think best thing you can do is send it to my attention, so I can give it a closer examination...
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

Scott..  That knife looks Burly.  With your sheath it's outstanding.  Hope you get to try it out soon. The Robertson and I are bonding nicely.  First 3-D shoot with her this weekend.  Good Hunting to you.  Jeff

If you have a story to tell that sounds as good as that knife looks, it will surely be a great hunting tale.

"a sound so sweet that the big bull comes in for a look see".

Scott, If it sounds as sweet to a bull as it did to me across the tent at Comptons, you should have no trouble.  Good Luck.  I'll be in the mountains myself a week from today.
