Most comfortable sit and climb stand?
« on: August 16, 2012, 04:39:00 PM »
What's your opinion on what is the most comfortable sit and climb stand?  Something you can sit half the day in without feeling too much butt pain....

I will go slightly off topic and say the TimberTall is the lightest stand (by far) that I have ever used.  Not sure of it's comfort yet.  But I've noticed it is difficult to shoot a trad bow because the front rail gets in the way.

Well, I've used several over the last 30+ years, I could sit all day in my Summit climber. Its like sitting in a Lazy Boy!  the only problem I've had was my limb hitting the arm rest.  Summits "Open Shot" doesnt have an arm rest, but I dont know how comfortable it its.

I happen to favor the Treewalker climbing stand. It is most definitely an all day stand . I have had a lot of them all top line ,But the Treewalker is the best .

By far the most comfortable stand in the world is a TREE LOUNGER tree stand.

They are heavy, expensive, take a long time to set up.

They are the most comfortable though. Hands down.

Wow. Just looked into the Tree Lounge Tree Stand. It went out of business last year.... Sad.

Ol'man climber.  Rock solid and the net seat is wonderful.  I've owned a Summit also but the Ol' man beats it hands down.

Heavier, but folds flat and is by far the most secure feeling climbing stand I've used.

That said, I'm selling my aluminum one after only a year (if anyone buys it) cause I tend to travel long distances on occasion. If I have to keep it, I won't complain.  I'm short and skinny and it hangs up on brush with my small frame.

Summit. Either the Titan or Goliath.
They both use the same size top section, but the Titan has a slightly larger lower.
I've sat a solid 14 hours in my Titan & felt fine all the way through.
I've also had many, many 8+ hour sits & never had a moment's discomfort.

x2 on the Ol' Man.  The net seat is the best.  For a close second I have a Lone Wolf wide sit and climb that I put a net seat on and it is almost as comfortable, a little quieter to set up and no bar in front but then no foot rest as well.

I have had a bunch of stands, and for me the Treewalker is the most comfortable and it is rock solid. Made is the USA as well.

Summit Razor SS. It has a fold away rail that helps with clearance issues. Very easy to climb with too.

I'll have to go with the Summit, definitely could take a nap.  The down side is I find it a little cumbersome packing.

I am a TreeWalker guy.  Have had all of them (Summit, Ole Man, API, Lone Wolf, TreeWalker, and more) and the TreeWalker suits me personally the best for a long sit.

Summit makes a great product and they are good folks.  I just did not care for how they pack in mostly.  They are definitely comfortable and secure.

I have a Lone Wolf hand climber which is great for short hops.  It weighs 14.5#, folds flat, is really quiet and quick to set up.  Not nearly as comfortable though.
Most religions teach that you earn salvation by keeping rules. Jesus didn't teach that "good people" go to heaven. He taught that "forgiven people" go to heaven. And He invited everyone, no matter what their past, to come to Him and be forgiven.

I carry a butt cushion with me to the stand. Way more comfortable than a factory seat.
