When I strated this adventure about 5 years ago I knew basically nothing about traditioanl archery. With the help from the members of TG I have learned so much and whenever possible I try to pass on what was given to me to a fellow member. Sometimes it is a string to someone in need, a bowfishing trip, arrows or whatever I have that I can spare.
Fortunately, my little bit of know how doesn't cost a thing for me to pass on so when asked I try to deliever.
We have a fairly new member here and he put feelers out asking how to make wooden arrows. I contacted him and introduced myself. After some back and forth communication we set up a day for him to drive to my house and I would do what I could to help him make a wooden arrow. He did just fine and now I have another friend thanks to Trad Gang.
CK14 hard at it.
We didn't have time to stain or seal it before he went back home so we went with a bare bones arrow just to show the basics. Here is the first test fire.
Figured he might like to learn how to make a string so we did that as well.
What a site and such fine people too. Just trying to do my part.
