Fun Shoot Week 10
« on: August 25, 2012, 09:37:00 AM »
This week we're taking shots that I've missed on real hunts.

Shot 1 - 12 yards, kneeling (either knee or both).  Do this one cold, no warm ups on the day of the shot.

Shot 2 - 23 yards (if you have the room), standing.  warm ups are ok on this one.

Shot 3 - 10 yards kneeling on both knees.  Put your butt on you heals, lean forward until your chest is nearly parallel with the ground and shoot with the bow horizontal.  I apologize for this one, it hurts me too, but it stills keeps me up at night.

Shot 4 - 18 yards kneeling.  set up some stakes between you and the target about 11 yards from the target.  Set the stakes (shovels or whatever you can find) about 12" apart and shoot between them.

4, 4, 6, 0 = 14
I messed up the shots a bit, but got the distances right.
My shooting today just outright sucked, even after warming up. Not that my scores show any worse than usual.

On call today, so no pics. Shot 1 was a line cutting 8 in the 6 o'clock position. Shot 2 was an 8 in the 5 o'clock position. Shot 3 was a line cutting 8 in the 3 o'clock position. Shot 4 was 6 in the 3 o'clock position. Not nearly the group I had last week. 30 for me.

FYI: I am likely bowing out.  Its been fun and thank you very much!  I'll be off hunting or distracted for several weeks, so no use trying to keep me up.

Thanks for all the work you put into it, looking forward to next year!
