Eagle Optics Glass
« on: August 26, 2012, 09:09:00 PM »
Binoculars seem to be a hot topic on a few threads right now and I don't want to hijack any of them.  To those who've owned/used Eagle Optics, what do think of them?  Were you impressed?  Do they compare with, for example, Nikon Monarch's in quality?

Their Ranger SRT 6x32's are on sale right now for what seems to be a good price.

Any thoughts, comments?

I have seen a few eagles hunters have had while i was guiding. I was not impressed by any of them so far.  I would say they dont compare to the nikon or vortex.

My son in-law had some Eagle binos and hated them.
After sending them back twice he gave up. Bought some Nikons and gave the Eagles to the kids to play with. That is my only experience with them.

I do own some Vortex 6x32 (Vipers) and use them every day of deer season.

'Nuff said about the Eagle Optics.

Thanks for the heads-up Bob.  I'll take a look at them.  Are your 6x32's the HD model?

I picked up a pair of the Vortex 6x32's (non HD) last spring and so far just love them!  Very good binocular for the money.

Mine are non-HD.
In fact, I don't think they even had Viper HD models at the time.

I have a set of 8X42 Eagle Ranger Platinums. I have had them several years.....wouldn't trade them for anything!
