Good job guys!  Ya'll are making me jealous. Already got meat in the freezer and I still haven't made it to the woods.

Well, I did not pick a spot resulting in a clean miss over the back of a Nanny.  I guess that is why they call it hunting and not killing.

Same fawn as yesterday at roughly the same time.

I'm set up near a creek crossing, but it's so thick I had one come out of the brush covered area I'm hunting and jump the creek before I ever saw it. About 30 minutes later I saw two more doe in a nearby fescue field.

Keep at it Rick. I missed three two years ago and three last year. I'm trying to be more choosy about my shots. But I'm sure my missing isn't over.   "[dntthnk]"

I think you hit the nail on the head.  I made that shot without being completely confident and choosy.  it was a rush shot where I saw her and only had a second to draw and wait for her to come through a small opening before releasing...never did really pick a spot.

Only been once so far.  Had a nice doe broadside at 20 yards, and was getting ready to put preasure on the string.  Right then a spotted fawn popped out.  I thought long and hard about it, but decided to let momma walk.  The farm we're hunting is covered up this year.  My brother had a big 8 pt. at 10 yards last night, but got busted by a cow horn he didn't see when he drew.  I'm heading out there in the morning to try my luck again.

Congrats to you guys that already have meat in the freezer.

ZERO deer sighted from stand today - saw a couple driving out after dark. Beautiful day - I scouted this morning and I have a white aok ridge here in Sanford FULL of fresh droppings and acorn hulls all over - think I will hit it with a climber Sunday. Work tomorrow. Don B should have something by now. Matt Quick got a doe day after I got mine.

I've been out three different times. Saw at least 4 deer every sit. no bucks and no shots taken on does. had two in range but am trying to do some video and couldn't get it all together. took william with me one afternoon to run camera but wouldn't you know it . We got some great footage of 4 does about 80 yards in a cotton field for about 4 hours. Gonna try it again this afternoon. DB

Had an opportunity this morning on a doe at 10 yards, but was waiting for her to move some since part of her vitals were covered by a bush with leaves.  Don't you know it, she caught my sent and blew out of there. Next time I guess.

Post the videos even if there is no kill at the end. Just watching deer is at least half of what gets us out there!
