DIY bow case
« on: August 31, 2012, 10:01:00 AM »
First Off..Hello Y'all!  I'm new to the forums, been bow hunting for a few years,  instinctive trad hunting for about 2 years,  still have LOTS to learn.  Anyways, thought I'd contribute with my home made bow case.
I was helping a friend move and she was tossing out an old violin case,  this was shortly after I bought my bow and I needed a case and I thought...hmmm,  I can use that,  so with a little bit of gutting out and some foam, glue and felt I built myself a great case for my TD bow. I cut the foam so the bow sits nicely inside the foam and is held in there with velcro.  the top of the case holds 8 arrows,  I may change the top and pull the arrow holder out of my compund case and install into this one, well see.  Last year I purchased a quiver for the bow so I may need to alter the foam so it will hold the quiver while on the limbs, right now I have to remove the quiver when I put the bow in the case.  Anyways, heres a few pics of the case along with the bow, It's a custom made bow based on the black widow, bulder named it Casper.  Draws 65#'s at 28".

Not only is the case itself very cool, even more impressive is that your first post here is one that contributes knowledge and helps others.
Love it!!

Looks like it will work perfectly.  Nice job.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
