Haven't heard any in AZ yet. Hope it starts soon as I am spending time in Elk camp beginning Sept 14.

Chased a 300"+ bull and his harem of 40+ cows and calves around Wednesday and Thursday  and he was bugleing, he also barked and run all his cows off to never never land when he winded us or whatever happened. Biggest bull I've ever seen still on four feet in my six seasons of hunting them, going back up Monday and Tuesday to see if I can find him again.

Just got back from a family trip to Montana and Wyoming and heard bugles every day! I leave to hunt Idaho on the 20th and after hearing all the bugling I am kicking myself for not going earlier!

I will be in Routt next week for two weeks in the back country. I know they will be bugling again back there. I can't wait! I leave September 6 and come back September 25.

Good luck everyone out there. I can't wait to hear those bugles and see a majestic bull again. Last year I got within 20 yards of a monster herd bull but two satellite bulls drew him back to his cows before I could get clear shot. He had 30 cows and wanted more. I called him away from his harem with a cow call.

Heard only one in a week in the high country, west of Redstone by a lil bit.  There is very little water up there, although the area has greened up.  Most of the reservoirs in the area are nearly dried up too.  Look for water and dark timber.

Scratch my previous post. I was just sitting on back porch sharpening broadheads when I heard that distinct sound.

If hearing that sound doesn't get you going you must be dead.

They're starting to get after it here in Utah.  I'm sure you'll find the same thing in WY.

I was out opening weekend here in Montana. It is still hot here and I only heard 3 bugles in two days. However, they should be firing up soon. If you get really close to them and then bugle they are much more willing to answer.
