Shout out to my local trad archery shop
« on: September 05, 2012, 11:01:00 PM »
I just had to give a big shout out to Bob Hildenbrand and his Old School Archery store!

My wife is just starting to shoot with me and he really helped us out tonight with arrows, gloves, and an arm guard.  Class act.
Shooting a vintage Bear Grizzly makes me smile.

When was the last time you were at his shop?  Last time I saw him, he was about to sell his inventory and get out of the business.  I think that was about a year ago.

Bob is still in business i believe, haven't seen him in a year though. He was talking about selling out, but i think he changed his mind. I got to meet Bob through a friend who was originally from here in Michigan, and moved to Pennsylvania.  You wont meet a nicer guy to deal with, spent alot of time time shooting bows and b s ing in the head lights of his truck after an evenings hunt. Looking forward to seeing him again this fall when i go out there.
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

Tom,

I was there last night.  I'm heading back tomorrow to order my wife's arrows.

I spoke to Bob two nights ago- he was SLAMMED in the shop he said!!! If Bob is closing, there's going to be a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth in the Pittsburgh area!

I don't think there's any truth to that rumor.

And Bob is 'one of the good guys' - he's been to my hunting camp several times and is coming back in October to get another swine....awesome guy!!!
