fletching jigs

Im looking for a fletching jig and have heard that the jo-jan works great and is a good value.Id be doing mostly lw shields and some bananas.Anyway the advice you guys have given me really payed off on arrow building,thanks to all.One last thing, I want to stain cedars grey but the dye I used looks blue on the shafts.I was thinking of trying to use wood charcoal to get a grey.Any help would be appreciated.

I,ve been useing the JoJan for awhile now and it works great.Can,t help ya with the stain part but somebody will....good luck

I have 2 JoJans. I have used them for years with not many problems. Mine are the Multi-fletchers. I like being able to fletch 6 at a time. Follow the directions as to placing the fletch in clamp. When I forget to do that process the correct way is when I have an issue. Get some teflon tape for the clamps to keep the glue from sticking to them, no matter who`s setup you buy.
Can you mix a white dye and some black dye to get a grey? I know it works with the fletch-lac products I use.

I've used Jo-Jans both mono and multi-fletch since 1982 and can't imagine anything better.

Jo-Jan Multi-Fletcher, but I use fletch tape & only feather 1 at a time in minutes, and then just us the other 5 to hold my half dozen. This year I'm going to dip & crest for the first time...

Try grey analine dye (water soluble type).  You'll get a good grey.

Well I guess I'm really in the minority here, but I use an Arizona EZ Fletch. I like the ability to glue on all three feathers at once. But, what it doesn't do is multiple arrangements/configurations. Mine is right helical only.

I have both a Jo Jan and Bitzenberg and prefer the Jo Jan. I used to have a multifletcher but since I went to fletching tape I sold it because with the tape all you need is the single fletcher since there is no drying time. Either way you go you won't be dissapointed.

I've been using a Jo Jan multi fletcher. I shoot 4 fletched strait and it does a great job.
