70" longbow, no problem,

This will be my first yr. hunting with a 70 incher, and at first i thought the length might be an issue, but not any more!
After countless stump shooting outings, shooting from all manner of positions, standing, kneeling, bending, sitting, ETC. Ive found that a 70" bow is easy to maneuver, as well as a joy to shoot once you get used to it.
If any of you out there are considering a 70",or longer bow but have reservations because of length, give one a try, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
 As for me, the 70 incher is tuned, broadheads are sharp and flying true and all i need is opening day!

I prefer a longer bow myself, 66-68". Good luck this season!

I always hunt with 66" or 68" with no problem.

Though 70" may be stretching the practical length needed for my 28" draw, I still would not hesitate to use one.

My current bow is 68".

I've been shooting a 70" Hill for a few weeks and I couldn't be happier.

Some of my heavy bows were 70", for real heavy bows, even at my 26" draw, the 70" bow has its advantages. The only issue I had was the string contacting my body when the bow was shot very flat when sitting or shooting downward.  While there may be some argument for a shorter bow for more speed, but an accurate, good flying arrow counts for more efficiency than a faster arrow and it is easier to get that accuracy when the release variance has less effect on the arrow flight. Besides there are those that think the longer bow shoots faster than the short ones, that is not true for longbows, but the differences are not as important as shooting a bow that you feel confident with.
