Bowfishing and some Muzzy warm-up
« on: August 09, 2007, 05:03:00 PM »
Spent another great day with Gary ang Tim last Sunday.  We started out with some early bowfishing.Timmy was the only one to connect on a carp(pic to follow)....things were slow so we went for breakfast then went and did some stumpin'. With the Muzzy shoot coming up this weekend,it was time to break out the foam and knock-um'-down......

Here's some video clips...some of the hits....

Gary gettin er' done!

Gary had wedged this one between two trees...hard to see but I hit this one and wedged it in even tighter.....

Tim with a great shot and a follow-up clip.....

another one for me.....

Tim with another solid shot.....

Me again....hey as long as it falls,it counts!

We had a blast shooting for a couple hours...then it was a quick drink...and back to the river.....

 More to follow........

When we got back to the river,Tim and I floated in the canoe, while Gary worked the shoreline. Tim knew right where the fish like to hang out in the heat of the day....there were a pile of them.....

One of my misses......

We went a little further and I saw another fish.....turn your monitor to the right please.....also,take notice of my shirt....

Tim was up next and he had several shots,buuut.... ......

Gary of course had to show us how it's done...he'd shot two fish... the day's "catch"...

Another awesome day spent with two good friends.......Thanks guys     :clapper:

Nice shootin fellers! Curt, what's the dimensions on that muzzy block so I can build some for practicing. A feller just never knows when he's gonna be in NY   :saywhat:

wow, way to mention my "epic" 15 minute stalk on a feeding carp in the middle of the river as "tim connected" i thought for sure that woulda made the story lol just kidding. great write up once again,

and shawn hope to see you in one of these pics soon,  but it will have to wait a little the river went up about 2 feet since wed. making b fishing even more difficult.

here is a typical muzzy shot, you must have the sound on to get the full effect of this clip,

typical sounds of muzzy weekend... arrow hits tree someone laughs it is all there.

"where did that tree come from...?"

Sorry Tim    :knothead:   To be honest,I couldn't for the life of me remember how you got your fish.

Tim showed the patience of the veteran he is of this river. As Gary and I watched, after what seemed forever,he finally drew and shot....we thought he missed...his line never moved after the shot...but then we saw him re-load as he moved forward....eventually reaching down to claim his spine shot prize....when his arrow struck, the carp simply sunk to the bottom....

It was very cool for us to have watched the whole thing    :notworthy:

Wow,how did I forget that!

Joe, You better get your butt up here and drag th red head with ya!  The big targets are about 8x10,and the little ones are about 4x4.
