First Longbow Kill
« on: September 08, 2012, 09:48:00 PM »
Went this evening and sit in a tangle of vines in the edge of a cornfield and killed my first coyote. There had been a squirrel running back and forth between the timber line where I was sitting and the corn all evening. He'd made his last crossing about 30 minutes before when all of a sudden this coyote comes out of the corn and into the road with his nose down where the squirrel had been. He didn't last long after that. Soon as he got in the open I hit him with a big 220gr Ace launched from my 65# Bamboo Viper. First coyote for me with any weapon, all the better it was taken with my longbow.

That's cool! A yote with a trad bow is something. I want one so I can get a bust mount to at the other end of the table from my bobcat bust mount.

Congrats!

Congrats on your Yote. Taking one with my bow is certainly on my bucket list. He should make a nice mount.

Wow that was a darkest colored yote I have ever seen.  I thought for sure that the post was going to be from Australia.  Good shot kill a few more help the fawns and other small game.
