Depends on the tree and how much cover there is - anywhere between 8 - 25 feet.

I used to be one of those "if my nose aint bleeding it aint high enough"now I have common sense and hunt around 10'-15'max, and the deer look much bigger from that height.

I don't like to get higher than 20ft, most of the time its in the 15ft range. I personally don't like the shot angle from a higher stand if the deer is close to my tree.

My pull-up rope is 25' long tied to my platform, when it starts to raise my bow I am about right unless the cover isn't to my liking. You have to adjust to the cover but I like 25 feet if it is possible.

Not sure. I usually use two sections on my ladder stand, so I guess about 8 or 10 feet.

Any where between 18 to 20 feet with a climber. Above the lowest branch with a hang on, unless it's a GA pine  :) .

18' is my lowest stand height. I like to be pretty high. If I'm in a climber I'm at least 25' up! Fell out of one season before last at 16' and I just bounced and got back up but i scared every deer in the county off so i always use a harness. I say get as high as you're comfortable with. If you're scared cause you're too high you can't focus on the deer. Be safe!
