Good luck guys.

Arrow30, a video would be awesome. I miss hunting in Montgomery county. Awesome hunting out there.

Now, living in St Louis county, having a difficult time finding good public land to hunt.

I will be out. Just checked the trail cam and still have a small buck lurking around in velvet. Pic was 3 days old. I think he was only a six point and we are under the four on one side rule. Good Luck everyone!!!!

I am excited to get out there also.  This weather makes it feel more like hunting season. This is only my second year hunting Trad and didn't have any luck last year. So I hope this year is the one! Good Luck to all hunting in Missouri.

I'll be missing this one.   :help:

I'm sitting here with a cast on my right wrist and thumb, not allowed to shoot but couldn't with this thing anyway.  Hoping I won't need surgery or I'll miss the whole season.  :banghead:

You guys go get 'em!

Medley, Howell Island and St. Stanislaus Ca, are both good places to hunt in St. Louis County.

Its rained lightly here all day and have seen 5 big toms out infront of house and seen a nice doe out the back of the house a couple of times today. Watching her right now with my boy. Come on tomorrow.

Finished up processing our hog. Almost got the mess cleaned up.
Put permone on my clothes.
Did a little shooting.
Touched up the broad heads.
Got my H.I.P.S. blind on my PAC seat.
And all loaded in the truck.
Now where to try, just don't have a morning spot.

Brown like this Tim?

this fella came in and napped for an hour and a half this morning...52 yards from my ladder stand. I tried everything to move him off his "spot"...mouth squeals, mouth bleats, deer grunts finally a varmint call which in 15 seconds produced a big doe busting in...no I didn't get a shot. Coyote simply stood up, then calmly went back to sleep. Since I was getting hungry I decided to take a shot and lofted an arrow right over his back. He jumped up and moved about 30 yards farther away, eventually wandering off.
I walked over to his resting area and found this:

a well worn napping spot on a small ridge about 30 yards above the floor of the draw..roughly halfway down the slope.

Another pic:

I've taken to carrying a small Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS8 with a 16X optical zoom and an additional 4X digital zoom. The 'yote pics are with the 20X combined power. Great little camera with stabilizer feature that fits in a pocket.
All in all a wonderful morning.
