Here is a nice bear from Hunters Point. I just got the email without any details yet. However. the bear dressed out at 497#'s!!!!!!!!! The Hunter is Frreddy Marante. Don't know if he's a tradganger or not. If not I'll do my best to get the details.

Ryan: When I get the details or Freddy posts the story....well....right now you know as much as I do. Hopefully we'll find out even if I have to call Eldon to get the info.

Whoooooeeee! What a slunger! Bill, they didn't happen to say if it was "Crusher" did they? That guy used to hang around the stand I hunted and he loved crushing the steel bait barrels so other bears couldn't get into them. He looked a lot like that. I saw him but never had a shot. One evening he ran three other nice bears off my bait.

Freddie is not a member here but I'll try and tell the story the big bore came in right at dark and Freddie put a good arrow in and cutting the main artery the bear ran right around 100 yards all downhill we couldn't get him out til: the next morning and it took 8 of us to pullng on the biggest sled Elden had to get it out of the Woods freddie is going to have Eldon do a 3 quarter mount

Dave: Don't know if it's Crusher or not. I thought Eldon gave up on that bait.

Still don't have any more details. I tried calling Eldon about 30 minutes ago...figured he would be at Dean's with this week's hunters seeing them off and welcoming next weeks guys and ladies. Don't even know it that bear is a male or female. I do know another trad archer killed a bear off of the stand I would have hunted this year had we been able to make it. Too bad they didn't take a pic while it was on the scale. Hanging them up tends to give you a better sense of their actual size. Perhaps there is such a pic. I"ll find out and post it if it exists. I'de like to see it myself.
