Mock scrape question
« on: September 16, 2012, 01:29:00 AM »
So I plan on making my second attempt at a mock scrape tomorrow. I'll be using code blues grave digger product and some buck urine. My question is, is it safe to put the grave digger in the scrape then pour the buck urine around it? Or would it be best just to use the grave digger? Would these scent contradict in any way? And also I will be putting pre orbital on the licking branch but what if I have tinks scrape maker drip bottle on a branch above dripping down onto the branch then into the scrape?  Is this overkill? Would this much scent spook deer possibly? Advice from you whitetail pros is greatly appreciated.
Now then, get your weapons, your quiver and your bow and go out into the open country to hunt some wild game for me.- Genesis 27:3

I'd start with the Grave Digger and pre orbital and see what happens.

Don't forget the interdigital gland from Smokies too ! A few drops of that on the fresh ground underneath a good overhanging limb dipped in Smokies preorbital and......PRESTO ! Instant scrape !  :readit:

Do any or have any of you guys used tarsal gland lure with or in a mock scrape? or is this mostly a drag scent?
