I'm very excited.  Just booked my first trip to Ray's Hog Heaven for January 31st - February 3rd!  Ray still has three spots available for that weekend, so let's fill her up!

This will be my first time hunting hogs and also my first hunting trip outside Michigan.  This is a 40th birthday present to myself, with my wife's and kids' blessing.  My daughter (7) wants me to take a hog so she can "eat ham sandwiches for a month...and BACON!!!".  Of course, now I need to start shopping for a takedown longbow for the plane ride.     :readit:

Anyone else up for a weekend at Ray's???

Andrew you're gonna love it!  A bunch of us from Michigan are already booked for May.  Wish I could join you in Jan.

Glad you chimed in, Rick.  If I remember, you've been there before, correct?  I was hoping to get a Michigander or two to come along, but it will be great to spend the weekend with any TradGangers.  I've met so many great people through this site, and look forward to meeting many more.

Get yourself a Two Tracks (H)Ambush for the flight. Travels real nice in a golf club travel case.

Mike, I was hoping you might wanna get back down to Ray's for a winter break!  Of course, the camp atmosphere will be a little "different" than your recent Hawaii trip...but I'm sure you remember how to camp sans WiFi and tropical drinks.  :D

Andrew, hunting hogs at Ray's is highly addictive. You'll be planning your next trip before you leave S.C.  We'll try and save ya a bunk for May.

I would love to Andrew, but I'm saving my vacation for a few hunts I have planned for next year already, coupled with family time, there just isn't enough time.  Dang work keeps getting in the way.

I just checked the website.
Not too bad of a price at all. Could I send him payments until the time?  I need to check flight costs. I might try to hunt with you

Andrew,
Just talked to Ray Hammond over the weekend and sent my deposit for that weekend.  Looking forward to meeting you and spending another great weekend in camp.  I travel down with a good friend of mine who chimed in earlier, Ray Reid.  See you in SC.

Shoot, I live in Spartanburg and have never been on a hog hunt. I would love to go. I will try to check into it tomorrow.
