I had been sitting for most of the evening, but as I normally do, at about 6pm I stood up to be ready for the last hour. 9 minutes later I heard deer coming, and then saw them at about 20 yards and closing fast. It is very thick there, I was able to grab my bow without being detected and get ready for the shot. As the first buck walked past at 8 yards I drew and shot him. The shot felt and looked very good. He bolted, followed closely behind by his twin. I listened and thought I heard him go down pretty quickly. I waited a bit, then got out of my stand and retrieved my arrow. I followed this

to this
Not a monster by any means, but a good, clean kill on a nice New Hampshire deer.
The shot was perfect, entering high and tight to the left shoulder and exiting low on the right shoulder, he went a total of about 70 yards.
I should buy a lottery ticket tomorrow, yesterday I made a hole in one in a tournament, and this today.....
