I was just given some beaver hide to use for string silencers. How do I attach the hide to the string?

split the string and put one end through, then wrap it around until you get to the end, then put that end through.

Jon,
First, make sure your hide is as thin as you can get it. From what I have seen and used the part of the hide used for silencers is the belly as that is the thinnest. Cut a thin strip - maybe 1/8" and 2-3" long. Mark where you want the silencers on your string with a piece of tape or marker, unstring your bow, separate the strands and weave or wind the piece of hide around one of the lays (group of strands). String your bow and go shoot.
