Light and quick for breakfast. Now lunch, that's traditional...especially if there's one on the meatpole! I'm with Ron LaClair, grits topped with fried eggs are hard to beat. My version has bacon bits, cheddar cheese and butter. Ummm, I can just feel my arteries closing. Oh well, we all got to go of something, just know where you're headed! No offense Ron, I'll pass on the hot sauce, don't need to waste the evening hunt in the outhouse!

I'm with the "Nothing" crowd...
Never been a big breakfast person before hunting/fishing. But I have a Clif bar or crackers with me for a snack.

I usually stop at Mickey-D's for a sausage biscuit with egg, and put mustard on it.

I mentioned Clif bar for my breakfast every morning but failed to mention the numerous cups of coffee that go with it. I love to take left over pancakes folded over peanut butter for my lunch on stand.

I'm also with the "nothing" crowd. I wait to eat after getting back to the cabin...then, a big breakfast.

Coffee and whatever I can grab quick (usually a pop tart or something similar) as I walk out the door. Whatever it is I have to be able to eat it as I am drive to where I hunt.

Coffee and a doughnut or a bowl of cereal, then a PB&J for a little later. Then back to camp around noonish for a good lunch.

3 scrambled eggs with shredded cheddar cheese, S&P and diced Jalepeno, toast with jam and either bacon, sausage or steak. In my pack I like a couple Honey Crisp Apples when in season or Galas.

How did I miss this thread...
For a stick to your ribs breakfast that'll last ya till ya get back home you can't beat a big plate of grits with sharp cheddar cheese on top and 2 or 3 eggs over easy on top of that. Dose it up real good with Louisiana hot sauce an with yer belly full of that you're good to go.
A little meat on the side, like bacon, sausage or fried catfish and you'll think you've died and an gone to Heaven...
