Have you noticed that the times you don't get nothing while hunting, are usually the most fun you've ever had.

Hey any of you guys work for National Oiwell?
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

OK Texans, So where's a good place to find some Jack Rabbits? I use to have access to a lease in Midland that was covered up in them but I don't have it any more.

Any of you guys that hunt Type II land know of any properties that hold good/decent populations of Jacks?

Hey Bill, "I like th' way you talk"!!! (said in my best SlingBlade voice!)   :bigsmyl:

Mike, we have some public land here in San Angelo that has a bunch of Jacks runnin' around. Cottontails too!

Even a few carp and gar cruising the shorelines about half the year.
In the beautiful Davis Mountains and lovin' every minute - Danny

Does that mean Type II WMA land? I'd come that far to shoot some Jack's. I haven't bow fished since I was a kid but I loved it and I've been thinking about buying an inexpensive bow off **** for bow fishing. No lack of Gar or Carp around here.

If you're a Texan once, you'll ALWAYS be a Texan; and all my college friends still call me "Tex" (well, at least the ones that are still around to do so). I'm Texas born and reared, and my family was there before it became Texas. My Great, Great Grandmother was a Caddo Indian. In fact, despite a lifetime of globe-hopping and the fact that I rarely get back "home", I'm still a Texas resident!

Often, in very remote areas of the African bush I've been asked by natives where I came from. Many times I would enounter a blank expression when I said "USA" or "America", but every time those had failed, and I then said "Texas", they ALWAYS knew where that was! Their usual reply was "Cowboy"! (In English, I might add!)

Oh, that "public land" Danny (ylee) is talking about is city owned property.  Only need a license; no parks permit required.

You guys watch for the bunny hunt after deer season closes.

Either yleecoyote23, myself or one of the others who's attended the last 2 years will post come December.

Hope some of you can make it.  Its a lot of fun.   ;)
