Bullard Creek WMA Doe
« on: September 29, 2012, 06:45:00 PM »
Managed to get #2 Thursday morning at 8:45.  She came in to a smoking hot persimmon tree I found on public land.  This tree ain't 100 yards from the road.  She gave me a hard quartering away shot at 6 yards, and I took it.  The arrow entered at the last ribs, and exited just in front of the offside leg.  She made it about 70 yards before piling up, and left a blood trail a colorblind man could follow....literally.    :D   Another one for my Centaur and the trusty ol Treeshark.

Yeah Buddy.  Congrats!! I just shot my second Elk with a 160gn Interceptor (250gn total).  He went 30 yards and stopped.  Shortly after he tipped over. Same angle on the shot (hard quartering away) and pretty much the same placement as you. Love them heads.
