This has been a bit of a dream for me.
I know it's been 2-3 years now since Chad and I first started talking about a knife-bow swap.
Two years ago I got to meet him and his lovely wife Amy at Compton's where I was able to shoot a few of his bows.
Then they stopped by my house in Illinois on their way home from Denton Hill.
Then, another year later I visited Chad at his house in Brainerd, Minnesota while visiting my sister and shot his bows some more!
First thing to notice about shooting Chad's bows is that you don't have to think.
Just draw and shoot - the bow does the rest.
If you're looking at the target - that's where the arrow goes!
And that, my friends, is what a bow that is built like a bow SHOULD be built, will shoot.
And that's the way Chad's bows shoot.
I am so proud to have this bow.
Can't even feel it when I draw.
I can hold it easily - if I have to.
It is DEAD!! quiet on release.
Just a dream to shoot.
(Not to mention that my buddies Dave Stinson (Hunt It) and Mel Riley (Irish) have been trying to get me to switch from recurve to long bow for about 4 years!)
So, now I live in Warba, Minnesota, and Chad was up this way yesterday to do some duck hunting with his Dad and stopped by for a visit. He had a little something in his truck with him!
She's basically an Osprey with Kingwood materials and grey limbs - which I love!! I love those limbs.
I like the retro look.
