Whe I killed this buck at Solana last year I knew that I was going to get a European mount done, but was pretty vague about how it would end up. I sent the skull back to Alabama with Don and Skyler and traded Sky a Robtattoo knife to clean it up for me.

Last summer I picked it up from him while on vacation and I began to think about how to display it. After looking on the internet at a couple of designs. I sketched out what I wanted and took it to a buddy of mine who makes jewelry and display boxes out of cedar.

I think it turned out nice.

Keepsake drawer on back:

I wanted to be able to take the antlers off and handle them if I wanted to. This is what i came up with. Slide out antlers with "secret" compartment:
