And that is why I will never attempt to build a bow. Too much work. These guys are talented for sure. It is a beautiful bow and helping build it adds to the mojo.
Custom bows are not cheap but this shows why they are worth every penny.

Yes sir, and you've helped show why with this great build-along thread Ryan.

Thank you for taking the time to show the pains a bowyer goes through for their product and customers. I look forward to future posts of yours about this bow and the hunts you'll share.

I'm sure South is just as happy with your input as you to have been in being able to provide it.

Excellent thread!

Ryan, the only way that bow will look better is beside one of those Island Oinkers!!!

Hey Ryan, if your Stalker caps don't show up let me know. I have a couple around here I can loan you  ;)  I'd offer some t-shirts too but they would be a tad too large for you.

The pics are awesome.  I think a trip to South's is on my bucket list now!  I love my stalker, but there is only one bad thing.  I keep getting in trouble shooting it and not helping out the wife:)

Ryan, broke in my new-to-me Stalker Longbow Saturday. Picked up the Hope bow South made. Your thread got me fired up. I tuned some arras up and hunted with it for like 5 minutes before I got a shot  :)  Great thread! Enjoyed it very much!

Endless string?  What type of end serving did it have?

Ryan it was a ts1 skinny string with old school nylon and beefed up halo with small and I mean small wool puffs and that was so quiet like a Flemish string. Bill C  would know. I like Flemish myself and I might make a endless out of 8190  for my current longbow. Another sleepless night thanks to you. Lol. Thanks buddy

Thanks for the info on the string.  Let me know how the experiment with the endless goes.

Thanks for the kind words Scott!  The final coat goes on tomorrow.  It's just a matter of time...

I'll get some pics up, hopefully tomorrow, as I box it up for shipping. Ryan's draw weight is just about right at my length....maybe it won't make it to Hawaii.....   :dunno:
