Colorado Elk Hunt Remembered

I recently returned from a great hunt in central Colorado.  The bulls were quiet until the end of the week so we did not have much of an opportunity.  I was able to call one bull in on the second to last day to about 30 yards which was very exciting and we had 6 or 7 bulls going the last afternoon.  3 guys with 3 traditional bows, lots of tough hiking. I saw 2 bears close up (10 feet) a mountain lion and 2 of her kittens, bunch of turkey and mule deer. No animals taken but all and all it was a great sucess.

Forgot to mention...this is a true story believe it or not;

I was relaxing by a pond one afternoon by a game trail.  My legs were dead so it was time for some R and R.  My buddy was 70 yards or so across the pond from me and I noticed he was laying down.  Monkey see monkey do so I layed down on my side pulled out my iphone and was browsing through THIS website. I tured off my phone and looked up to see a brown colored black bear 10 feet away from me on the game trail. Fortuatly it did not notice me but it made me a bit uneasy and I put my iphone away for good  

The only downside is I just turned off my phone so I could not get a video of it.
