8 Pt.
« on: October 06, 2012, 06:56:00 PM »
Killed this 8pt this morning in Shawnee with Sasquatch Recurve and Simmons Tree Sharks..4" hole behind the elbow. Had 57 pictures and accidentally deleted them when downloading, uploading or whatever it is. If I'm able to make it back in there in the morning I'm going to take another picture of the hole that Simmons made if yotes haven't destroyed it. I forgot to get my broadhead out of the chest cavity anyway, if it's in there. I also got to go back and get my wool shirts, etc. I had to leave in a garbage bag to make room for meat in the back pack.

I had accidentally made a short video when taking pictures and when I deleted it I forgot that I had just clicked on "Select All" to name the photos and lost everything when I hit delete. Needless to say I'm a little P.O.ed at myself.

All I got is the head and I even cut it way up the neck to lighten the load on the way out..

Shot him right behind the elbow and he went about 60yds. Fat as could be, about 3/4" layer on the back part of his loins.

I'm excited to hear your Sasquatch brought that nice buck down.

But when you said you were gong to post some hero pics with your bow i didn't think you'd use a deer head peeking out of a garbage bag.   :p

Congrats on the nice deer Don.

btw... I've done that same exact thing myself on the photo upload before. Doesn't that make ya sick?  i learned to move all the jepg files i want to the pc first before i delete anything.

That's a great Shawnee buck, Hoyt.  Congrats!  I'm tyring to get down south some this season myself, mostly Saline Co. north of Harrisburg.
