What are the top Adventure Stories

As I am now in my mid 50's it is now apparent more than ever before that I miss the true adventure journeys I went on as a younger man. The 6 week motorcycle journey to California and up the pacific coast highway was a good one as well as the camping trips out west.
I really love reading the hunting adventure stories here on tradgang. One I slightly recall was about a guy who met a man in a nursing home (I think) and the older gentleman told him of a special and secret place (I think in Minnesota) where he went and found it by canoe..a scored on a great buck....
Otheres were great bear stories.....What are your favorites and if you have to saved links, I would love to few the
