As a few of you know, I have been "riding the bench" for several weeks. I sprained my shoulder about 8 weeks ago. It has been a very slow healing process. I had to miss the first week of bow season simply because I could not draw my bow.
Within the past week, I have had major gains in my strength. I still am far from 100%, but I have been able to shoot about a dozen good arrows the past couple days, before my shoulder gives out. I decided it was time to go climb in my favorite stand overlooking a couple huge white oaks this morning.
It took exactly 1 hour, and this happened.....
I had already decided that I was only going to take a close shot if given the opportunity, and that is exactly what happened. This ol' girl gave me a perfect 10 yard shot. I shot her with my Black Widow PSAX, 47@27, Axis 500 and 125gr Thunderhead. It left a blood trail my 8 year old son could have followed. It's a shame he is out of town this weekend.
