bow quiver for recurve?

Wanting to try a bow quiver.  Any quiver suggestions for this Howatt Hunter recurve? Thinking about a strap on or alternative old or new design.  Thanks

If you want light weight, Eagle's Flight are top notch. If you want a bit more mass, Thunderhorn quivers are very high quality. I have a Linx with the adjustable aluminum bar between the hood and the arrow clips. It's nice because it won't slide apart with shooting, but it is kind of heavy. Selway also makes some nice quivers.

I haven't had one, but Kanati quivers also appear to be high quality.

What I would avoid like the plague is the old spring arm Bear quivers. They look nostalgic, but they are heavy and LOUD. At least I could never get one quiet. I still have one I bought back in the 70s when we didn't have a lot of options. There are WAY better ones now.

I like the Selway quivers, they have two mounting versions to fit a one piece recurve as well as a limb bolt version for td's and they are available in either leather or soft kote.  I've had the limb bolt and am using the slide on version now and I am very happy with both.

Big Jim makes a nice one and it goes on/off easily and stays tight!

Thunderhorn quivers come in two sizes and the quality is great. If you go on their site the blemished ones are super (unbelievably) cheap.

Kanati and Eagle Flight seem to be the quivers of choice.  A Kanati came up for sale in the classifieds, and is headed my way   :D

I just got in a Kanati Dual Arc.  Based on preliminary testing and inspection, I doubt I'll go back to hunting with any other way to carry arrows.  It seems to have actually improved the shot cycle of the bow making it balance better and make less noise.

I'll still take out my back quiver for target work where I may want to shoot more than a couple arrows at a time but for hunting and roving this should fit the bill nicely.

get nothing with velcro unless your leaving it on the bow, also selway style quivers have the fletching all fanned out so you risk catching the fletch from the last arrow on your pant leg when bringing the bow up,, plus the takedown stlye has screw caps that can be accidently dropped out of the tree stand.

Great Northern style cannot be beat if you will be removing it and because its style keeps the fletching all close together and not in the way.
