1st traditional kill
« on: October 13, 2012, 05:30:00 PM »
Made my first traditional deer harvest this morning. After many years of shooting I closed the deal today. It wasn't nearly as big as the seven point I've been hoping for but for a first i'll take it. Shot at 7:10 this morning with an Orion 3 piece longbow from Dryad Bows. I was using 45# limbs and Wensell Woodsman broadheads. Good double lung shot and deer only went about 25yds. Arrow went thru and thru for clean kill. Thanks Mike and Jason for a great bow. The next one will be with the Bushwacker.

Story. On page 3 take a look!!
Slow down and enjoy life.  It's not only the scenery you
miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where
you are going and why.
