Thanks everyone! Hes no Giant or the biggest deer I have ever taken but I sure am proud to have him. It's been about three years since I have taken a buck and it felt good to get another. He is the first deer I have taken with my Kodiak Hunter, I also took him with a string that I made and arrows that I fletched myself; so that made it even more special. It was also awesome to have so much help from my family. It was a special hunt.  I'll be after does the rest of the season. Good Luck to everyone Else!

Im glad you had a quick recovery...bad shots happen. First deer story i ever read that included Grandma helping in the drag:-)

Roger, its funny you say that. Grandma always has stories to tell me about her helping drag a deer or dogging em during firearm season; they're great

Congrats on your deer. Make sure you send a copy of your picture with the deer and pullover to Teresa Asbell. She'll really like that.

Sometimes it is just a real good thing to be lucky........

It was your turn to bag a buck. That is why it turned out like it did.

Glad it all worked out for the best and the venison is in the freezer!

Congrats,

Bisch
