looking for my first trad kill and found THE spot!

i am still looking for my first trad kill and as most of you know its pretty hard hunting around my area. i LOVE hunting the mountain but it is very difficult at best. i finally am willing to give in and hunt by my house a little more and just got permission from a neighbor to hunt his property. TON of deer sign and counted 14 fresh rubs! set up a stand about 40 yards down a side hill on a WELL used trail coming out of 2 soy bean fields. the trail leads down to a big swamp. looks like a load of deer use this trail and very fresh rubs along the trail. no doubt I'll get a shot if i put my time in now i just have to get my butt in the stand and make it happen! can not sit there until Saturday but that is when i hit vacation for for 2 weeks so NO excuses then! hope to drop the string on my Kanati on a big slammer but will not hesitate on his girl friend...

Yep, sounds like you found the sweet spot, and it sounds like with some time on stand all the cards will fall into place.
Good luck!

will work on getting you permission to Ron, its close and a lot of deer. guy wants bow ONLY and i am the only one who asked to hunt, i informed him in my little time of scouting i found 3 tree stands which he was not to happy about. all 3 are definitely gun hunters so will not affect me until the orange army gets turned loose!

Hey Ken. To help your self and the land owner, talk to him and have him give the game wardens a call. Take the stands down, and leave a note on the tree with the game wardens number on it as the number to call to get their stands back.
