My "New to Me" Lost Creek
« on: October 16, 2012, 03:20:00 PM »
Just received my like new Lost Creek from another Trad Ganger.

Chad Francis made me one in zebrawood, but it came in just a touch heavy for my aging frame, so after making sure this one would be available, I sold mine. This one looks like mine, but maybe even nicer in bocote. This one has a shorter riser and is 60", 42# @28", but at full draw (29.5") it feels identical to my 62" 44# Judge. Both shoot the same arrow to the same point of aim. Better than a "matched pair".

Oh, really nice touch on the limb tips Chad.

Beautiful bow Ron, when are you going to be able to come out and play againg   :D

Hi Jeff. Was that last word "again" or "aging"? I'm still doing the latter, thank goodness.

I feel like I could hunt from a ground blind, but am reluctant to try putting up a ladder stand. The other problem is that since I've been limited to shooting at 6 yards in my shop and have done way too little of even that, I'm not ready to shoot more than 10 or 12 yards at a deer. I'm going to have to site my blind very carefully.

Plan to give it a try this week just north of Turk Lake.

Fine looking bow there sir. I'm sure you're mighty proud of it.

You betcha, Charlie. I'm a big fan of Chad Francis. I have yet to pick up one of his bows on which the grip didn't feel right. And they are quick   :)

I have a Life Ender Chad made. I love his bows. It was the long bow I took my first whitetail with. Plan on keeping it awhile. Good looking bow you got!

Thanks Bernie. See if you can keep Chad from killing too many of those monster Iowa bucks before I get a tag   :)

I "won" a 48# 56" Lost Creek on a drawing here once... I had to make a palm swell/palm build up out of leather to shoot that low wrist well...but it is a screaming meemie for 48#!

Next to my new Sasquatch "Sassy Lady" I'd say the li'l LC is a super bow... For some reason,  I like T/D bows and Chad was just getting into them and seemed to favor the low wrist configuration...but sure does perform well!

That's a gorgeous bow Ron. I'll bet it is as much fun to shoot as it is to look at.
