60" vs 62" bows

I have spent alott of time and $ on this subject,and for myself the 62" is noticeably more stable and accurate.The 58"+60",nice to pack,better out of a treestand,and or blind,but harder to hold/ shoot.For me the 2" differance is significant.

khall1 a longer bow will not be slower......it may well be faster. Longer limbs store more energy, it is the design that counts.

A friend of mine had a longbow @ 64" ,he got a new set of limbs @ 66". Both were 45# @ 28". With the same arrow the 66" long limbs were 4 FPS faster when shot through a Chrony. I myself could care less about speed but I found that interesting.

My two longer (68") longbows are both smoother to draw and more comfortable on my string fingers than my 62" bow, which happens to be in the middle as draw weight goes.

I have a 29 1/2" draw and I love a 58" or 60" longbow for hunting but for just shooting a 64" is sweet too...but I will go grab my 60" bow first!

I'm 5'9" and draw 27" and I can't get comfortable with anything over about 60".

Thanks for your help guys, I decided on the 62" Toelke Whip.  This will be my first longbow so we'll see how it goes.

I don't have a long draw. I have had bows from 58 to 62 inches. I shoot the longer ones better. Could just be me but I seem to be more accurate with a longer bow.
