I've always been more a big game hunter than anything else, even with firearms. I'm thinking of taking up wing shooting and maybe some small game hunting and was wondering what you use for tips and also what game you use flu flu's for and what you stick with your standard arrows for?
The birds I would most likely hunt would be Turkey, Geese, Ducks, Pheasant, Grouse, Quail and maybe dove if I'm feeling really lucky. I figure for the first four I would use broadheads and aside from Turkey I'd use flu flu's. I'm not sure about the other birds though.
For small game I'm not much on wanting to clean them but we do have rabbits, silver gray squirrels and the ones I'm most likely to shoot for fun would be ground squirrels. I would also shoot animals of opportunity such as rats, rock chucks, possum, badger, coon, nutria, etc.
What I do have in my box are a few of the G5 small game heads and judo points as well as some rubber blunts.
I've seen now they have the snares, although I don't remember the name the oversized judo's, the scorpios which I was thinking behind my broadheads. Any thoughts would be appreciated, I stocked up big time on 2317's so I'm building up game specific arrows.
thanks ahead of time,
Rod
