Moving to the Left
« on: October 19, 2012, 02:21:00 PM »
No, not my politics; my shooting.
After a lot of soul searching, I have decided that my worsening sight in my right eye had to cancel my season. Just not feeling good about making the accurate shot when the opportunity arises.
I have become left eye dominant, and it is time to join the ranks of the lefties.
At close to 65 years old, it may be a challenge, but I am ready for it, and it spices things up a bit.
Here is the first step.  It is a PCHIII 60" and 44#@28. Now if it would just stop raining long enough to shoot it.

Kat is a fantastic shooter with even a bad eye, I have tons of respect for his abilities!            :clapper:        :clapper:

So watch out with a good eye!
That's it, no hope for me to get even closer to his shooting!

Nice bow by the way

Hey Ron that's true. I will bet you, your wife, your friends, and even your dog, could kick my butt.
From what I have seen on here, I am entering into some really great shooting company.
Thanks for the encouragement guys. Maybe I can get my left hand to do the things my right wouldn't.

I made the switch and the hardest part was nocking an arrow. Trying to get a non-dominant hand to do those kind of tasks is tough.
Hang in there, after a few hundred arrows, it's easier and now 3 years later for me, it seems odd to try right hand.
Best wishes.
