6-7oz and yes, veg tanned with olive oil rubbed in (Scott Teaschner tip) and Fiebing's Aussie conditioner as a follow-up. I just made it last week and it's still soaking in the conditioner. It's now darker than this photo, but not by much.
I used Rob's pattern and made a few personal adjustments, like the 3" fold over. This piece was 26" tall with a 20" wide top and a 19" wide bottom. I used Dave Mitchell's advice on the bottom strap portion for the heavy lace quick strap adjustment.
The bottom piece is 6-7oz with a heavier piece of saddle skirting (10-11 oz) cut to fit snuggly in the bottom of the quiver for durability from peircing broadhead points.
