Pack Basket
« on: October 22, 2012, 08:42:00 PM »
Good evening Tradgangers.

My lovely Wife made me this pack basket for my 40th birthday.  She really got one over on me this time.  I usually guess what she's getting me, but this time I had no clue, and she spent weeks making it for me.

I've wanted one for a long time now, can you tell how happy I am?

Now I just need to figure out how to take it hunting with me, maybe a canoe hunting trip or something.

Oh yeah, she got me a set of 70# limbs for my Bear takedown A riser.  They shoot great.

Maybe God will send me a deer for my birthday.

Tom

That's a great looking basket there.   Best way you can "pay her back" is by packing out your deer with it!   Or at least parts of it.   That's a fine gift for sure.

I have one just about like it. I love it for hanging stands and building ground blinds. I can carry lots of stuff in that thing. I also take gear to my shows with it.

You wife did a great job. Congrats to you both.
A great gift for sure.

Wow....good looking basket.  I've been wanting one of those for awhile now.  Think she could do a "how to build" post?

Oh yeah....Happy Birthday.  :campfire:

I actually use a pack basket for my hunting. I have a 1/4mile hike back into my cabin and I have found that I can load up my pack basket with about anything. I just dump it all in and away I go. Works great for me.
