SBD strings

I received my strings last night from SBD and all I can say is WOW. I am shooting a Black Widow CHX and heard these strings will make a significant different in noise reduction. I thought I would give it a shot but to be honest I was not expecting much and had settled on my bow just being a "noisy widow."

I put the string on last night, one set of wool silencers and didn't fiddle with the brace height at all. My bow is now very quiet and it may be just in my mind but it sure looks like my arrows are flying faster. Shot a few dozen arrows and my groups were better then they have been in a while.

I would highly reccomend SBD strings to anyone. Thanks to Pierre for a great product.

I like them also, but check your brace height every week. I put them on two longbows several months ago and they stretched every week for several months. Two different bows and lengths were 62 and 64". Maybe just mine for some reason? Ken

I never, ever had stretching on SBD strings. Maybe 1/8 of an inch after the first 50 arrows, but that's it.
I would contact Pierre about this.

I have the same issue as Ken. Very nice string, quick,  quiet. but have to twist up every few days and I'm three months in..

I have several.  I like them.  One just keeps on creeping. The other two doesn't.  Good strings, but the D10 isn't my favorite.  God Bless

Yep they creep. I've got three.  I leave my bows strung so I can grab them and fling a few at the end of the day. So eventually they stop.  If I unstring for a period of time and restring, I get creep back.

I have them on 12 different bows. No creep on any of them. I must be fortunate.

Have had one on my CHX a couple of months, kept strung, not a bit of stretch.  Had Pierre install the silencers.  Maybe the strings that are creeping have been fiddled with to install the silencers...just a thought.
Much quieter, only strings my bows will wear from now on.

Only strings that grace my Black Widows, excellent well made product. Just a tad bit of creep over the last couple months. (about 3 twists worth)

I would suggest that even if the whiskers or string silencers were installed by anyone, and it was the cause of creeping, that it wouldn't take it long to stop once settled in.  The creeping is something over time that doesn't seem to stop.  Settling in is one thing, contiually creeping is another.  FWIW, Pierre installed the string puffs on mine.  

I was actually wrong, 2 of the 3 are creeping.  Lost about 1/4 inch on a curve that hasn't been shot in over a month.  I haven't shot anyhing with a "D" in front of it that doesn't creep.  These SBD strings are quiet though unlike the D97 ones, and shoot very hard.  Not knocking them at all.  Great people who make a good string.  God Bless

I think they're D97.

I've never had a stretch problem with them.  I have had problems with arrow speed, though.  SBD strings are too fast!

i really like there strings.I HAVE SOME 6,10 AND 12 STRAND.you can look at their sight but i think the 12 is D97 and the 6 and 10 are D10.

The same here and I easily shoot 600 arrows at least per week for training. I use D-10 strings. After a break-in period from let's say 50 arrows I never saw any creep on any of my bows. And I check my brace-height with every session. I use SBD strings for years now and can honestly say they are the best strings money can buy. Do a search here and you will find out that there are some users and compagnies who have the same experience as I have...

The only problem I've got with SBD strings is that my fletching catches fire....  :)
