Hill bow makes meat
« on: October 23, 2012, 07:52:00 PM »

It all came together this morning. I Was slowly stalking in to my natural ground blind. When really out of nowhere this doe just seemed to appear 17 yards off to my right presenting a perfect broadside shot. It's amazing how my bow arm just naturally started to swing up, felt my anchor and the Delta zwickey was on it's way. Always great to be out hunting and this just puts icing on the cake.

Thanks for looking
I'm drinking from a saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed

Great shot! As with you, it always amazes me how the brain just goes into auto pilot when the time comes, no figuring, no measuring, just picking a spot and shooting!
Congrats!      :notworthy:

that's what the whole idea of the longbow is about, and it's still working after thousands of years....good shooting, and good quiet stillhunting   :)

congrats, I know the feeling.  Just awesome isn't it, so natural to see the animal, instinct takes over and bam, meat on the ground.

Congrats! I got my first ever longbow whitetail in a similar manner last year while walking back to my truck after a morning hunt. Always a thrill when they show up unexpectedly like that!
