« on: October 23, 2012, 09:41:00 PM »
Ok so I have new wood/glass limbs coming for my Dorado. The new limbs will make the bow 62". What length string and material should I use? Also how many strands? Bow is 49# @ 28". Looking for a quite bow. Thanks!

I like a flemish 12 strand D-10 with .030 Halo serving or 14 strand D-10 with .024 Halo serving, and my own acrylic/wool puffs.  Plenty skinny for me with zero creep, good nock fit, and quiet too. Oliverstacy in the classifieds builds all of mine. My two 62 inch ILF bows wear 58 1/2 inch strings.  I like them a little long so I can set the BH low to start the tuning process.  58.5-59 inches should be about right for your bow.
