Saw 4 different bucks chasing Does this weekend, usually starts around Halloween and this year seems to be right on track. The EHD catastrophe has apparently passed my farm by as I am seeing many deer. I had 5 different button bucks come through in one morning last week. I have also witnessed many Doe families traveling around and so far 6 different 1 1/2 old bucks, 2 2 1/2 year olds and 1 buck that I believe is at least 3 1/2 but possibly 4 1/2 years old. All of this activity and the corn surrounding the property is still standing. I usually don't witness this quantity of activity until the corn is down.........good sign for the next couple of years provided there is no drought next year that produces more EHD. Luckily for me a nice flowing creek runs through the farm and never dries up, may have dodged a bullet.

Yep, lots of bucks on the trail cam this weekend in an area where we are lucky to see 2 bucks a season. I even saw a spiker and an 8 point. The spiker was with a doe, chasing and grunting. The bigger buck was alone and when I grunted he took off fast! Get in the woods in Michigan if you can!
Advice from The Buck:"Only little girls shoot spikers!"
