Tree Shark Broadheads ?

I am curious as to what poundage bows you guys are shooting with your Simmons heads? What head and what poundage? The reason for the question is the apparently amazing wide channel wounds that I am seeing from these heads in another thread with pics of broadhead holes? It seems big wide wounds and deep penetration are frequent with these heads and yet the width of them has me curious as to how they aren't impeded more by ribs and such.

I have a 55 pound bow and with my carbons which are Traditional Only 340 and Carbon Express 250,I'm shooting Tiger Sharks. I just got some 2216 and cut them to 32" and they are liking 200 grains up front,so I just ordered some Tree Sharks,but they are not in yet so I haven't shot them. The Tiger Sharks fly great.

I shoot 165 gr interceptors on 2020 legacys for a finished weight of 680 gr. i shoot them out of my 63# longbow. I had a half dozen tree sharks but traded them for some woodsman elites. They shot good but i just felt they were too big for me.

I shoot a 71# Silvertip recurve and they fly great (TreeSharks)! I haven't shot a deer with one yet but I did shoot two turkey's in one shot with one this spring. Both turkey's had big holes.

I shot both my elk with a safari head ( non vented interceptor) centaur bow 65@26. (One passthru one up to the fletchings)I shot clean through a bear with 47@26 centaur and safari head.  I shot my mt lion with tree shark and 55@26 selway bow. I shot my speed goat and a doe whitetail with my 47 pound centaur and tree sharks.  I basically use the Simmons for everything and just use different heads depending on what I'm hunting.  I have some amazing wound pics too!  I think about everyone that uses em has a few though.

I have killed deer with the Tigersharks, and landsharks with a 43lb @ 28" Hummingbird longbow, I pulled it about 29 1/4. They were 100lb does, I have killed several 170lb plus bucks with them and a 51lb @ 28" Hummingbird longbow same arrows as on the 43lb. I have killed 3 does with Treesharks w/ 56lb @ 28" Hummingbird longbow. I shot a 165-175lb buck Friday with a Tigershark, he was quartering away steep and put about a 6 inch hole in him it lodged in the off shoulder, 23" of penetration. Just get them sharp.LCH

I have shot TreeSharks with bows from 50# - 70# bows and had great results on many animals large and small. I do like arrows over 600gr for all my shooting....

49#'s works just fine .... my experience is with deer on this one.

I have shot the 125's, 165's,and 190 Gr, Interceptor, on bows ranging from 50-62 pounds. All fly very well. I shoot the Interceptor for pretty much everything now. I have not tried the Treeshark yet but I will probably give them a try since all of the others have been awesome.

I've killed a pile of critters with Treesharks out of 63-64 pound bows and arrows weighing between 480 and 525 grains.  I'm shocked when I don't get a pass through.

53-65lb bows blows through ribs like butter. Arrow weights from 550-630

53ISH pounds work just fine.  I hit a deer this year with one and it looked like cups of blood poured out.  I can only tell you that because the first shot was a spine shot then the next was on the money and put the doe down in less than a min.

Killed a couple last yr with the Interceptors and little over 500gr arrow using 45lb bow. One this yr with Tree Shark 590grs arrow and about 50lb bow.

66# longbows - yes entry and exits are amazing - I would use sharks even if I was shooting my daughters  45# bow

I appreciate all the input guys. I am just amazed that a head with the length to width ratio these seem to have, doesn't get bogged down going through. The pics and the stories tell the tale though.

75ish for me on elk.  15 yards past the elk in the dirt, cutting  ribs in half on both sides.  absolutely Love em.

I think that has to do with the concave design Charles.

I shoot 55 lbs. and use intersepters, and safaris, best of all I can get them so sharp with a dremel, sharpening steel and a ceramic rod.
