A few weeks ago I bought another Zipper SXT from David "longspur77" that matched my go-to SXT perfectly. I was planning on taking it as a backup on my Eastern Colorado Mule Deer Hunt Nov.15-21.
Bow specs are... Zipper SXT Foam Core Recurve 58'' #52@28
Easton Axis 400 29.5'' , 75 gr. brass insert, 160 grn. Grizzly Broadhead.
Well I decided to break it in before then and had the pleasure of harvesting a nice doe last Thursday, and a small buck on Saturday. Several squirrels and skinned the hair off a big Coyote as well.
Just wanted to say thanks to David !!!! Awesome guy to deal with and a great trad-ganger...
Thursday night this doe was running from the neat little ragged horn buck pictured below, he stayed of range... but she didnt.
the buck who chased her in...
On Saturday night I went back to my old property where I learned to shoot and hunted the first treestand I ever hung. Because we had thefts I locked it in place years ago and it is there forever now. I had this little fork horn come in and I though I would add to the freezer...
I am fortunate enough to have plenty of tags here in mass (2 bucks, 4 does). And since I harvested the fork horn out of state I still have a tag for each of these bucks which I have seen moving in the thick stuff already, but they have not come my way!!!
