« on: October 30, 2012, 01:41:00 PM »
My son, better half, and I will be headed to Ohio to Bow hunt Nov 17-24th Can any one recommend a camp ground that will be open which is close to public land. I have hunted around Zaynesville. Any help would be appreciated.

There is plenty of public land in chosocton, but I'm not sure of the camping.  It would be best to call the Ohio d n r.

Salt Fork State Park is has it's own land. Check it out. Tappan Lake state park is a good choice as well. Big deer around both parks.

Check out Wayne national maybe bigger woods than expecting not farm fed deer but ton of govt land and although hard earned there are some really nice deer down here.  I like fox lake area around Athens small state park but used to have alot of clearings cut through it allowing good still hunting set ups.   Feel free to send message if want more info.
