Cookie, that rock formation under those tree roots has got my curiousity up. What do you think it is? It just doesnt look natural.

It looks like rocks that were stacked against the walls of an old hand dug water well. We have an old well on our land that looks a lot like that one. The well we have is right on the edge of a draw and erosion has washed out the earth around 3/4 of the old well walls and the rocks that lined the well have collapsed.

Here is an Owl I caught a little over a week ago
 

A few minutes later, I had a pair on the same branch, but was not quick enough with the phone camera!

to be honest I do not really know what it is, that is why I took the picture. I was guessing a well, but I find it odd that it is in the bank of a creek bed. So I do not know if it was open up at the top to offer them a way too get water from the creek or what. But the other tank is only about 80 yards from the rocks in the creek and its located just bellow an old pump house with an inside and outside water tank.
